Meet Your Instructor

Erik Rasmussen, Founder

At just 7 years old, Erik began training at the Riekes Center Nature Awareness Department. His curiosity was insatiable and he continued to pursue outdoor education, acquiring a Bachelor's degree in Parks, Recreation and Tourism, with an emphasis in Adventure and Outdoor Programs. Since middle school, Erik has channeled his love of nature into teaching, first assisting lead instructors until he was of age to facilitate nature exploration classes for 20+ kids.

Welcome to Making Tracks. All class communications happen over our Discord Channel. For updates and communications about your course click the invite link to join.

Location

This class will be held at Crestwood park. Please park in the main parking lot; go past the playground onto the lawn and we will start our class there.

The Creek

Please note there is a creek at this park. Depending on water levels and speed we may or may not be able to play in it. Be prepared with towels, water shoes and an extra change of clothes.

What to Bring

Please wear weather appropriate clothing. And bring a backpack with...
