About the Course Students will learn historical skills that woodsmen, trappers, and explorers in the early 1800’s Rocky Mountains used to survive Course Objectives Students will step back in time to explore the skills and knowledge that early woodsmen, trappers, and explorers relied on to survive in the Rocky Mountains during the early 1800s. Through guided outdoor activities, students will learn how people lived closely with the land, developed self-reliance, and adapted to challenging environments using simple tools and natural resources. The course emphasizes historical understanding, practical outdoor skills, problem-solving, and respect for nature while fostering confidence and teamwork.
