Making Tracks Release of Liability
Membership Terms & Agreement
Last Updated: May 1st, 2026
Overview
Making Tracks memberships provide enrollment in one anchor location and access to additional sessions throughout the program season. Memberships are designed to offer flexibility while maintaining safe group sizes and program quality.
Membership Structure
Each membership includes one designated anchor location. Families with children enrolled in multiple age-appropriate courses at the same location are considered a single-anchor family. All participating children who attend Making Tracks sessions must be included in the membership — unregistered siblings may not attend. Each tier includes a guaranteed number of additional sessions for the season. Access to any specific session is subject to availability, staffing, and program constraints — Making Tracks does not guarantee placement in a particular class day. Membership pricing and benefits are as follows.
Check-In Requirement
All additional sessions require advance check-in via Discord. Drop-in sessions are counted per family check-in, not per student — one session is deducted from the family's allowance regardless of how many children attend that specific drop-in. Members must confirm attendance within their designated priority window:
-
Explorer: 24 hours
-
Pathfinder: 36 hours
-
Trailblazer: 48 hours
Failure to check in may result in loss of access to that session.
Attendance and Capacity
All sessions have capacity limits. Some sessions, including those at sensitive locations or involving specific instructional content such as fire, bladed tools, or animal processing, may have reduced capacity or additional restrictions. Priority access to high-demand sessions is determined by tier, then by check-in order within that tier. Making Tracks reserves the right to adjust staffing, limit attendance, or deny access to a session in order to maintain safety and program quality.
Eligibility
Participation in any Making Tracks session requires an active membership with a designated anchor location. All participants must meet the age requirements for the session they are attending — sessions may be designated for specific age groups and access is restricted accordingly. Anchor class participation and volunteering is required as part of membership. Making Tracks reserves the right to restrict access to any session that does not align with a participant's age, eligibility status, or membership tier.
Season and Use
Memberships apply only to the current program season (September through May). Access to sessions is limited to that timeframe. Unused sessions do not roll over or carry into future seasons. Membership access and drop-in sessions are valid for public homeschool, homeschool teen, and family gathering courses only. They do not apply to private classes, workshops, intensives, campouts, homestudy or any other programs.
Refund Policy
Memberships may be canceled according to the following schedule, based on the start date of the participant’s anchor class:
-
7 days or more before the first session: Full refund, less payment processing fees
-
2–6 days before the first session: 50% refund
-
Less than 48 hours before the first session: No refund
Once a membership has been used, including attendance at the anchor class or participation in any additional session, it becomes non-refundable.
Standard cancellation policies for individual events do not apply to memberships after the program has begun. Memberships provide access to a program structure rather than individual event purchases, and unused sessions are not eligible for refund or credit.
If a session is canceled by Making Tracks, a refund or credit will be issued for the canceled session.
If a participant is removed from the program due to policy violations, no refund will be issued.
In the event of an administrative error or oversubscription, Making Tracks will offer alternative placement options or issue a full refund.
Availability and Placement
Memberships are limited by tier and offered on a first-come basis. Current availability is as follows:
-
Explorer Memberships: 12 available
-
Pathfinder Memberships: 10 available
-
Trailblazer Memberships: 5 available
Availability is tracked at the family level (one membership per family).
In the event that a membership tier reaches capacity after a purchase is submitted, Making Tracks will offer alternative placement options or issue a full refund.
Program Conduct
Participants and families are expected to follow all program guidelines and instructor direction. Making Tracks reserves the right to remove participants from the program for behavior that disrupts the safety, learning environment, or well-being of others.
Modifications
Making Tracks reserves the right to make reasonable adjustments to schedules, locations, staffing, and program structure as needed to maintain quality and safety.
Acknowledgment
By purchasing a membership, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms. You acknowledge that membership access, attendance, check-in requirements, and availability are subject to the conditions outlined above, and that Making Tracks reserves the right to enforce these terms as written.
