How it Works:
Home study programs bring the Making Tracks experience wherever you are. When you sign up you get placed in a private Discord community with your instructor and fellow participants. Lessons arrive on a regular cadence — field guides, stories, images, and action items — and you work through them on your own time. The chat gives you direct access to your instructor whenever you need them and a community of people working through the same material. No video calls, no Zoom, no set meeting times. Just good curriculum, an instructor in your pocket, and people who are into the same things you are.
After the course ends you get moved into a permanent alumni group with everyone who has ever taken that class. The conversation keeps going.

Is this the right fit for me?
This format works especially well if you live far from our local programs, have a schedule that doesn't fit a weekly class, or want to go deeper between sessions. It's also a great way to access instructors who may not teach locally. This is best fit for people who want direct access to instructors and who want to work at their own pace. If you aren't satisfied after the first four lessons, we'll make it right.

What is it?
Technology is not inherently bad; it is a tool just like our knife or bowdrill. We aim to use every tool at our disposal to provide the best experience possible. Our community exists at many locations throughout Utah; but using Discord we are able to bring everyone together online to chat, learn, and share ideas.
